Bio

I've done a number of productions as a Set Designer. From researching forms and shapes, to developing concepts, to full 3D models, followed by construction drawings and CNC files, then overseeing the construction of the sets has been very rewarding. Because of my background, I often get some of the more unique forms to design, which has been challenging and satisfying.

I have been involved in designing and building boats for 40 years, and have now got involved in Set Design in the film industry. I'm skilled on Rhino 3D software, and can relate my practical construction and design experience to set creation, especially involving curves or tricky projects. As I have previously build marine components in fibreglass, carbon, timber, MDF and sailcloth I can produce drawings that are practical and easy to follow.

As I've come into this industry from a marine design background, I can usually offer a cost and time effective, innovative solution to the tricky form design and construction.

I'm especially interested in Sci-Fi, marine and WW2 projects. I'm able to move easily with a project's location. Currently based in Auckland but able to move to Wellington easily.
I'll be available soon, and happy to have a meeting or chat to discuss how I can creatively assist with your project!
