Synopsis

Steph is a young mother whose violent and controlling partner Craig, a mechanic, makes sure her car never goes anywhere. When his final, furious blow is to offer her freedom, Steph must choose whether or not to tear her family apart. Horses is a naturalistic but heightened drama of domestic violence. The tragedy is not that home can become a battleground. The tragedy is that human nature makes it possible to cope, to keep on living there.
