Bio
Nick Carew is an American Cinema Editors (A.C.E Eddie) Award nominated editor with 20 years professional experience. He has just finished the Miramax spy-thriller Inheritance premiering in TIFF 2023. Filmed in Cairo, New Delhi, Seoul and New York, it is directed by Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist, The Upside) and stars Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton, Fair Play).
Prior to this Carew served as editor, second-unit director and producer across all ten episodes of the Steven Soderbergh drama / sci-fi series The Girlfriend Experience (S3), which premiered at SXSW in 2021. He recently completed the Hulu / 20th Century / Disney drama pilot Olga Dies Dreaming. Starring Aubrey Plaza (White Lotus) and directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Me, Earl and the Dying Girl), it is based on the 2022 New York Times best-seller of the same name.
Working with Academy Award-winning directors Spike Jonze and Alex Gibney, and nominee Amy Berg, Carew has also served as showrunner, exec-producer and director on several documentaries for networks including HBO, Netflix, Hulu and the BBC. And as a documentary editor he cut the Emmy Award-winning episode of VICE (S2) on HBO.
