I’m an Iranian-born, Auckland-based Assistant Director with five years’ experience working as both a 1st and 2nd AD, and over 18 years of diverse film creative background including writing, acting, and M/UP. I therefore have an excellent understanding of set dynamics and have the ability to lead from multiple perspectives.

As a 2nd AD, I’m highly organized, meticulous with paperwork, and thrive on building systems that keep everything running smoothly. I create clean, realistic callsheets, ensure timely and clear comms with cast and crew, and am across every moving piece, from transport runs to costume fittings to wrangling background. My attention to detail means I spot potential issues early and resolve them before they escalate.

As a 1st AD, I lead with empathy and clarity, but I’m not afraid to hold the line. I keep the day flowing while maintaining respect for the director’s process and the well-being of the team. I’m solutions-focused and always working toward the bigger picture.
