Creative Director - Wētā Workshop

Wētā Workshop is seeking expressions of interest from visionary creative directors to lead and inspire teams in crafting groundbreaking immersive experiences. This is a rare opportunity to influence the future of spatial storytelling by overseeing the creation of breathtaking immersive experiences, theatre, cultural destinations, themed attractions and cinematic worlds.

Our creative directors:

• Lead and encourage the early Creative Development explorations to arrive at best vision and idea(s) for the project, ensuring they build upon the Weta Workshop LBE offering
• Act as “vision-holder” for the project team, inspiring, maintaining and clearly communicating the projects creative intent to all team-members and stakeholders
• Have creative management of design deliverables from vision development to completion

We look for seasoned leaders who can bring:

• Strong experience in creative leadership and that ability to guide multidisciplinary teams
• A portfolio of work that showcases your expertise in experience design, exhibition & museum design, spatial design, or themed entertainment

Your experience will be backed by technical proficiency in the following software:

• Photoshop
• Vectorworks
• Adobe Creative Suite

Plus, it would be great if you have experience with Revit, Grasshopper and Blender.

We’re based in Wellington, New Zealand - but our projects can take us to Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
