This role is a key contributor to the success of Stan Sport’s social strategy for the Premier League and other major sport properties. You’ll produce and publish highlights, compilations, short-form video and social-first content to support live match coverage, tentpole announcements, cultural moments and our day-to-day editorial rollout. You’ll be hands-on creating smart, sharp, and engaging content that builds hype, drives audience growth, and keeps Stan Sport culturally relevant. From editing real-time match moments to collaborating with internal teams, talent, and partners, you’ll help shape how our sport properties are represented across channels. A deep knowledge of football, creative flair, and comfort working outside regular hours are essential for powering the next era of football fandom in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce world-class, fit-for-platform social content for Stan Sport across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, Snapchat and more, supporting the Premier League and other major sport properties.
- Support Stan Sport’s live social coverage and day-to-day editorial roll out for the Premier League and other major sporting events; producing and publishing match clips, highlights, compilations and other social-first content.
- Work side-by-side with the Senior Social Media Manager - Sport, Social Video & Publishing Producer - Sport and our production team during matches to ensure quality, accuracy and speed of delivery for live match coverage, in accordance with publishing KPIs.
- Support social media broadcast integrations to enhance audience engagement.
- Regularly monitor breaking sport news, results, social conversations and trends, and proactively produce quick-turnaround, timely and entertaining content that resonates with sport fans and keeps them informed.
- Collaborate with broader social, comms, creative, marketing and sport teams, as well as with talent and external partners to bring content ideas and campaigns to life.
- Monitor and report on Stan Sport and competitor social activity to identify optimisation opportunities and continually improve and evolve our output.
- Ensure all content adheres to Stan and partner brand guidelines and rights management policies.
Position Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in social media production for a sport or entertainment publisher or brand.
- Highly skilled in social video clipping, production and editing using the Adobe Suite, WSC Sports or similar, CapCut, and in-app tools.
- Experience with third-party and native social media management, publishing and reporting tools.
- Deep understanding of social platform trends and best practices across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, X, Snapchat and more.
- Proven ability to monitor social conversations, breaking news and trends, and proactively produce culturally relevant, reactive social content with lightning speed.
- Strong eye for detail. Stellar verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write succinct, engaging social copy that aligns with brand values.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects.
- A football enthusiast with a deep understanding of the game and fan culture.
- A team player who collaborates effectively. You’ll work cross functionally with the broader social, comms, creative, marketing and sport teams every day - from ideation through to planning, execution and reporting.
