Bio

I am a writer/director from Aotearoa-New Zealand based in Auckland of Pākehā, Māori and Irish descent. What excites me about the film & television industry is the ability to collaborate with other creatives and reach a diverse range of people through story.

My attraction to visual storytelling began in acting which led me to discover my appetite for script writing. I pursued this in my studies of expressive arts and media studies at Massey University. Then gained practical training at South Seas Film and Television School, specialising in drama directing and script writing. During my time there I wrote and directed three short films and worked on several other FTV projects ranging from studio shows and special interest field items to web series.

Through my films, I aim to create compelling characters that subvert expectations of societal norms and explore themes which spur deeper understanding and connection by exploring how we relate to one another and the world we share.
