An opportunity exists for a talented, enthusiastic Motion Graphics Designer with a passion for video editing. You would combine your strong design skills to bring learning content to life for our audience. Altura Learning is an education production company in Sydney that produces video-based educational content for the social care sector. Working in close collaboration, our team delivers a suite of high-quality courses and resources to Altura Learning customers, as part of an annual program schedule. The team also produces a range of video content for corporate and commercial clients, as well as marketing and promotional material for our own brand.
The role A key part of this role is the management of our media assets. Our whole team has a role to play in media management owing to the collaborative nature of our work. We are looking for someone who values careful cataloguing, good housekeeping and version control. You will be involved in the management and maintenance of our media asset management system, including ingesting, cataloguing and archiving. You will also be responsible for the creation and upload of all deliverables relating to your work on each project. As part of a small in-house team, you will be involved in all stages of production. You will need to be able to handle many projects at once, working across multiple disciplines to deliver programs, ensuring they meet clinical and educational content criteria and our mantra of ‘Engage, Inform, Inspire’. We work with the Adobe Creative Suite, so it’s important that applicants have solid experience in AfterEffects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and Character Animate..
About You The successful applicant will have a demonstrated creative eye for the design of motion graphics and static digital assets, with the ability to spread that design cohesively across video, e-learning, print and social media. You should be committed to excellence in educational programming, be able to work to strict deadlines, want to share your enthusiasm and creativity, and contribute to a collaborative and mutually supportive team environment. Willingness to take constructive guidance and feedback from key stakeholders is also a must. The ideal applicant will have a proven track record in video post-production and be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver creative, engaging and effective motion graphics. Interest and experience in editing short and long-form video content is also favourable.
